Chaya Raichik wrote a childrens book called candy cavern: no more secrets. The book chronicles the life of rose, a sheep who’s being force fed candy by her teacher, a wolf disguised as a ram. The candy is, of course, an analogy for being gay or trans. The teacher instructs the students not to tell their parents about the candy. By the end of the book, the wolf takes off his disguise and reveals he intends to eat the children, and nobody is there to save them because they didn’t tell their parents. It reveals a lot about the way chaya raichik views the world. Let’s read it.
