My name is Owen Morgan. I grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness. After leaving the religion, I wanted to understand what happened to me; how this religion affected me. I set my mind to understanding high-control groups and destructive religions.

I officially left the religion in 2007, but I didn’t stop believing it until 2011. I started a YouTube channel in 2016 dedicated to speaking about my experiences and problems with high-control groups.

Since then, I’ve written several books intended to help people understand the mindset of extremists. If we can understand their mindset, maybe we can prevent it — or even reverse it.
